What new in DX-Boulderdash
release V 0.44 alpha r1

 

The purpose of this 7th test release is to give a general overview of the game performances on different systems and to track down all new (and old) errors.
Don’t expect a completely Bug-free game yet.

It performes little error checking, so it’s not impossible it might crash under unlucky circumstances.
Use it at your own risk, but it should be pretty crash-free now. (At least on my system).

If you are willing to send in Bug reports or have any ideas for improvement, please send me a mail. It is greatly appreciated.

What's new
  • Implememted detection of Gametypes. This should bring more spriteset flexibility and opens the path to non-boulderdash gametypes.
  • Added levelmap info-screen
  • Rewrote the main part of the sound engine, However, this is still under construction, so the old system is used for now.
  • Added Configurable Keyboard settings.
  • Implemeted '' Default Spriteset" + conversion of Amiga 'obj' files
What's fixed
  • Fixed Diamonds collect bug - again !
  • Some more bug-fixes offcourse, mostly small ones
What' s next ?
  • Less bugs :-)
  • More objects ...
  • Better and more sounds (considering the size in KB, perhaps as an optional module)
